Not Now, Not Ever Earrings
In October 2012, Australia's first female prime minister, Julia Gillard, made an "off the cuff" speech in parliament, that would later become known as, 'The Misogyny Speech'.
"Not now, not ever" is a fragment of that speech, that in 2020 would be voted by The Guardian readers as, "The most historic moment in Australian television history".
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of this speech we have created these earrings, encrusted with mirror glass, to represent the moment Ms Gillard stood up to misogyny and sexism and suggested to the opposition leader that he may need a mirror if he wanted to know what sexisim looks like in modern day Australia.
Handmade and designed in Australia- slight natural variations will occur due to the handmade nature of our product.
Size: Approx. 7cm L x 2.5cm W
